Jesus came to reconcile us to God as Adam and Eve sinned which left a gap between God and man.(Acts 1:8)
Before Jesus left the earth, he told man that the holy spirit was to come after his ascension
When the holy Spirit came Peter was touched and 3000 people were saved(Acts2:41)
From Matthew 28:’19-20, we learn that
It is a command to evangelise; it is not an option to choose,
A Lot of people out there have not heard of him
so us children of God, we must share the Word for all to hear.
From John 3:15-18, If we don’t share the good news, Jesus’ death will be in vain. Jesus came on earth to close the gap between man and God, to reconcile our relationship with Him and through his death and resurrection we are saved and called into ministry
In Matthew 9:38, we are laborers and this means that are work isn’t in vain. We must share the Good news and God would reward as accordingly as in Romans 10:14
In Ephesians 4:22-24, it illustrates the beginning when Adam sinned and we traded our relationship with God with a relationship with Satan, he denatured us. We are renewed to God through the death and resurrection of Jesus so we are righteous and holy as God.
We are supposed to take our responsibilities as people of God to share the Word to others and Jesus would work in them
All the demonic activities ongoing in our communities, the key thing to maintain peace is Jesus.
The world is trying their best to secure the world but the demonic people are getting smarter so there is destruction in the world, but if children of God spread the Gospel, the Lord will draw people until himself to be saved.( John 12:32)
How to evangelise
Intercession- Pray for the hearts of people to be ready to receive Jesus.
It can be one person at a time
Build a relationship with the person.
Descend to the person’s level as a new believer when talking and listening to the person. Understand the person and get to know the needs of the person and help solve them. Share your story. Now you can preach the Gospel to the person
Use Scriptures- share bible verses and explain them. It can be through bible tracts dropped at walkways, doors.
Don’t wait for your church to organise evangelism programs. What are you doing individually? Share the hope and peace in the midst of the storm with people.
Invite others to church- When you bring people to church, they might not be saved immediately just like how a seed is sown into the ground, different seeds have different times of germination so you must leave them to God to work on them but also check up on them regularly to continue encouraging them to join you in faith.
Glorifying God on Social media- Spreading Scriptures, Bible sermons, spiritual songs on your social media platforms, this might encourage someone and introduce God into someone’s life. As children of God, we must be selfish by posting ourselves or others only on our social media platforms without including Christ in ny of our posts. Showing your emotions to others will not solve your problem nor wanting unnecessary attention to make you feel good about yourself. Why don’t you share the Word to elevate the Spirit in others towards the Word of God?
Suffering is part of the work- What Paul went through, and Paul called it light. Why do you think it is unfair when you are persecuted for the Gospel? Even Jesus was rejected and suffered for our sake. We feel so horrible when we suffer for God and give up, but Jesus said in John 16:33 that we have overcome the world and we should live as the positive influence wherever we find ourselves.
Let us overpopulate Heaven and depopulate hell
Let us put God out there
For during Judgement, you will be questioned.
Let us sit up and do what we were called to do. Amen
