Sin and Judgement

In Romans 3:23, the Word of God says everyone has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

There is physical death and Spiritual death.

In Ezekiel 18:20, the bible says the soul who sins shall die.

So unbelievers are spiritually dead, for not believing in God is a sin and there is no atonement of their sins since They do not also believe Christ died for them.

A believer only dies a physical death but unbelievers die twice both the physical and spiritual.

Back to Ezekiel 18:20, He died to atone for our sins.

It is grace that we received from Christ, as believers we must share this grace to others, whether believers or unbelievers.

Treat people well even when they mistreat you.

In Romans 12:17-21, it says repay no one evil with evil, Vengeance is the Lords, if you exchange evil for good, the enemy is being persecuted.

THREE PEOPLE THOUGHT THE DEATH OF JESUS WAS HIS END.

  1. Disciples

Peter said they should go back to fishing

  1. The leading priest

They thought if Jesus couldn’t save himself from death, then he is powerless

  1. The devil

They thought Jesus had ended his ministry, for he died.

Jesus showed them that He was risen by drawing the tomb,

The other disciple discerned and believed.

Mary waited on The Lord that is why Jesus revealed himself to her

Even when Jesus showed Himself to Mary. Mary didn’t recognise Him till He revealed himself to her.

In the Jewish, 3 means completeness, divine perfection and a new beginning

Resurrection is a new beginning to a victorious life in every area where there are battles, trials, troubles, hindrances.

  1. Jesus’s resurrection shows that the living Christ is not a false prophet or imposter, He is the ruler of God’s divine wisdom.  He makes intercession for those who have called Him Lord.
  2. We can be certain of our own resurrection, death is not the end of our lives. We will die physically, not spiritually.( 1 Thessalonians 4:14-15). The Holy Spirit can give you strength for what you must do.( Romans 8:11).
  3. The resurrection is the basis for the church’s victory to the world.(1 Corinthians 14:15, 15:57)
