A Call to Godliness: Embracing Faith and Action

We thank God for a week filled with new oil. Another chance to get it right and praise him once more. Today’s preacher was Reverend Ezekiel Gyimah once again. He sends greetings from the head Reverend, Rev. Mark as he visits the CEM New Jersey Branch.

The theme for this month is “Godliness” which again is relying on God’s sovereignty and abstaining from everything that isn’t Godly.  Reverend Ezekiel starts his message by proclaiming  at the end of this year we will see results. We can no longer go backwards, nobody has time for that. We must do something- anything. We must make a move. We cannot and will not sit in place and let time, blessings, declarations, and opportunities pass us by. Reverend continually refers to the midwives in the book of Exodus. These were women who were passionate for God and had the zeal to take action. In all they did, while the midwives increased spiritually, they also increased physically. Reverend references this because it is not okay to just grow spiritually and having nothing to account with on Earth. 3 John 1:2 tells us as we spiritually prosper, so must we physically prosper. We have to learn to build instead of play. There is no more time to play. You must be a millionaire. There is no excuse to not be a millionaire. As we sit and listen to the word, we carry a triple threat to the enemies camp. We are smarter, better and don’t forget, oh no don’t forget, we have God. What in this world can we not do? It makes no sense to be stagnant.

Next Reverend takes us into the two characteristics of Godliness. First was, Godliness isn’t physical but only achieved by the mercies of God. Reverend cites 1 Peter 1:18-19 letting us know it’s only through the blood of the lamb that you can be Godly. The second characteristic was Godliness is an action word of our faith. Godliness is a verb and something we must do. Reverend reminds us “Faith without works is dead. And work with faith is dead.”

Reverend ends his sermon with “4 How’s” on

how to live a Godly life. First was Ephesians 5:1. This says we must be imitators of God. Second was Galatians 5:22 [Fruits of the Spirit] in addition to Ephesians 5:2 walk continually in love. Third was

Ephesians 5:3, live life devoid of filth. This is in private and public. Finally fourth,Ephesians 5:6-8, We must not engage unwholesome company.

This sermon was packed with fruitful information. Again, if you missed any part of it, you can refer back to our YouTube and watch every second. Don’t forget to comment below! Have a blessed week.
