One of the most important things Jesus came to do was to win souls. He didn’t just preach. He lived among people, loved them, and brought them into the Kingdom of God. As followers of Jesus, soul winning it’s our mission too.
1. It’s the Wise Thing to Do
Proverbs 11:30 says, “He who wins souls is wise.” Sharing your faith isn’t just bold-it’s wise. It brings eternal change to someone’s life and glorifies God.
2. The Great Commission
Jesus commanded His followers in Matthew 28:19-20 to “Go and make disciples of all nations…” and again in Mark 16:15, He said, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” This isn’t a suggestion-it’s a command. Soul winning is the Great Commission.
3. Why Jesus Came
Luke 19:10 tells us, “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” John 20:21 says, “As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” Jesus came to win souls, and now He sends us to do the same.
4. You Are an Ambassador of Reconciliation
2 Corinthians 5:20 says we are Christ’s ambassadors. God is using us to reach others. When you share the gospel, you’re helping people reconnect with their Creator.
5. The Kingdom Within You
John 1:14 tells us that “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.” Jesus came to bring a new kingdom-a culture of love, character, and glory. When you live this out and share it, people are drawn to that Kingdom.
6. Jesus Became Like Us to Win Us
In 1 Corinthians 9:19-22, Paul says he became a servant to all to win some. That’s exactly what Jesus did. He entered our world, sat with sinners, and loved the broken—not to condemn but to save.
7. Light and Salt of the World
In Matthew 5:13-14, Jesus says we are “the salt of the earth” and “the light of the world.” Your life, your kindness, and your words should point people to Jesus.
8. God Dined with Sinners to Win Them
In Mark 2:13-17, Jesus ate with tax collectors and sinners. People were shocked, but Jesus knew that love opens hearts. He met people where they were, and we should too. Whether through a conversation, a kind act, or simply living like Jesus, you can lead someone to the cross.
