OUR STORY
CEM Bronx’s journey began in August 2008 when Rev Stanley Mensah convened with expatriate members of CEM Ghana in Bronx, New York, sparking the establishment of CEM in America. Weekly prayer meetings and Sunday fellowships gradually attracted more members, prompting the appointment of Head Pastor Joseph Bempah Sarpong in April 2009. The church expanded to various states, with branches in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Texas, Georgia, and Virginia. Despite facing challenges such as deteriorating rented spaces and robberies in 2020, the church persevered, upgrading its equipment with the support of its members. However, Hurricane Ida in 2021 flooded the church’s sanctuary, leading to relocation of services to Royal House Chapel in the Bronx. Through resilience and faith, CEM Bronx continues to thrive in its mission to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
ACTIVITIES
Youth Inauguration Event: Join us for a special Friday Service on June 21, 2024, from 8:00 PM to 9:20 PM on Zoom as we kick off our Youth Inauguration with an inspiring evening of worship, prayer, and community.
Young Adults Inauguration and Sunday Service: We invite all young adults to our special inauguration and Sunday service on June 23, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Royal House Chapel. Join us for CEMY2K – Winning Our World for Christ, and experience a powerful time of revival and renewal through the youth.
